INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH


  INCEPTION:

  Omayal Achi College of Nursing has been preparing students Bachelor and Post graduate degrees in nursing under the     Tamilnadu Dr MGR University, since 1992. In order to achieve excellence in practice through Research Strategies, an     International Centre for Collaborative Research in Primary Health Care was established in the year 2008, by the College in     partnership with the Department of Academic Family Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

  A number of Research activities have been done in collaboration with International Universities, Governmental Organization and     Non governmental Organizations to assess and improve the Health status of the adopted communities.

  ACTIVITIES OF RESEARCH CENTRE:
  1. Every year Conducts projects based on current problems in the community and nursing field and finds the remedy for the   better service in the Nursing Field.
  2. The Centre has developed a database to maintain all the abstracts of research done under ICCR. This could be helpful for   the reference of upcoming Nursing Researchers.
  3. Every third Friday of the month, the Center organizes a meeting for all executive members to share and to give report of   their ongoing projects.
  4. Every project done under the Center is published in National and Scientific journals with the name of the Principle   Investigator.
  5. The Centre deputes staff to attend/ present the scientific and research projects done by them, Nationwide.
  6. The Centre organizes Research workshops, CNE from various departments and conferences to disseminate updates in Research Evidences.
